FXI on the Freedom of Expression environment in South Africa

The Freedom of Expression Institute outlines the various laws that curtail freedom of expression in South Africa today at the Community Media Reflection Conference. These laws include the Publications Amendment Act which obligates journaist to report illigal activity to the police. This will have a detrimental impact on the ability o journalist to protect their sources and wll in turn undermine the free flow of information.
